The Library Network Shared Automation System Notification Schedule
Based on patron preferences, library notices are sent via email, automated phone call and text messages. Please Note that text message
notification is always a secondary notification method. There is no way to get only text message notification, text messages will always
have an associated email or phone call. Details and timing of individual notification types are included below.
Coming Due Notices - Coming Due Notices are generated 3 days before checked out material is due
and serves the purpose of notifying patrons that they have material that will be due in 3 days.
Based on patron preferences, Coming Due Notices are sent via Email, Text Message or Automated Phone Call.
Overdue Notices - Overdue notices are generated 7 days after the due date of checked out material
and serves the purpose of notifying patrons that they have overdue material
and that they may accumulate fines if the material is not returned.
Based on patron preferences, Overdue Notices are sent via Email, Text Message or Automated Phone Call.
Lost Item Notices - Lost Item notices are generated 21 days after the due date of checked out material.
and serves the purpose of notifying patrons that the checked out material is now assumed
lost and the patron is responsible for the replacement cost unless the material is returned.
Lost Item Notices are only sent via Email or via Paper Mailer delivered by the US Postal Service if no email address is present on the patron account.
Hold Pickup Notices - Hold Pickup Notices are system generated notices that serve the purpose of
notifying patrons that requested materials are waiting to be picked up from the library.
Based on patron preferencs, Hold Pickup Notices are sent via Email, Text Message or Automated Phone Call.
Hold Cancel Notices - Hold Cancel Notices serve the purpose of notifying patrons that a material requested
by the patron is no longer available for pickup and/or request.
Hold Cancel Notices are sent only by Email.
Patron Expiration Notices - Patron Expiration Notices alert the patron that their library card will expire in 30 days.
Patron Expiration Notices are sent only by Email.
